How Pean works
Pean is a private place-saving app for Apple Watch and iPhone. It lets you save locations in one tap, store them offline, organize them by category, and revisit them later on your personal map.
Save in one tap
When you find a spot worth remembering, open Pean on your iPhone or raise your wrist and tap on Apple Watch. Your GPS coordinates are captured instantly and saved to your private map.
No form to fill out, no login mid-trail. The tap saves the location — you can add a photo, note, and category later from the iPhone app.
Organized by category
Every saved place belongs to a category: Fish, Mushrooms, Berries, Hunting, Herbs, Landmarks, or Other. Categories let you filter your map by type and quickly find the right spot when you need it.
Works offline
No mobile signal in the forest or on the water? Pean queues the save locally and syncs it automatically the moment you reconnect. You never lose a spot because of poor reception in a remote area.
Private by default
Every place you save is private until you decide otherwise. You can share individual spots with people you trust, or keep your entire map to yourself. There is no public feed, no social layer, and no automatic sharing.
Access anywhere
Your saved places sync across Apple Watch, iPhone, and the Pean web map at pean.me. Browse your full collection on an interactive map, filter by category, and navigate back to any saved location from any device.

Is Pean free?
Yes. Pean is free to download and use on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Which devices does Pean support?
Pean runs on iPhone (iOS) and Apple Watch (watchOS). You can also browse your saved places on the web map at pean.me in any browser.
Can I save places without internet?
Yes. Pean saves places locally when you are offline and syncs them automatically when you reconnect. This works on both iPhone and Apple Watch.
Can I save a place from Apple Watch without taking out my phone?
Yes. That is one of the core features. One tap on Apple Watch captures your GPS location instantly — your phone stays in your pocket.
Is my location data private?
Yes. Every place is private by default. You control whether to share individual spots with others.
