Save a spot from the water
When you hit a productive spot — a drop-off, a weed edge, a current seam — you can mark it with one tap on Apple Watch without setting down your rod or disturbing the area.
GPS coordinates are captured instantly. You can add a note later from your iPhone: water depth, bait that worked, time of year, anything you want to remember for next time.
Keeps spots private
Every spot is private by default. Your fishing map is not shared with anyone unless you explicitly choose to share a specific spot. There is no public feed, no community layer, and no way for others to see your locations without your permission.
Offline use on the water
Remote lakes and rivers often have weak or no cellular signal. Pean saves places locally regardless of signal and syncs when you are back in range. GPS uses satellite positioning, not cellular, so coordinates are accurate even far from tower coverage.
Organize with the Fish category
Pean has a dedicated Fish category. All your fishing spots stay separate from mushroom places, hunting positions, and other locations in your map. Filter by Fish to see only your fishing map with one tap.
Return across seasons
Good fishing spots produce year after year. Pean gives you a reliable record of every spot you have marked — with exact coordinates, notes, and timestamps. Open the map in spring and navigate directly back to the spots that produced last autumn.

Can I save a fishing spot from Apple Watch without my phone?
Yes. One tap on Apple Watch captures GPS coordinates instantly. Your phone can stay in your bag or on the boat.
Does Pean work on the water without signal?
Yes. Pean saves offline and uses GPS satellite positioning, which works independently of cellular signal.
Will anyone else see my fishing spots?
No. All spots are private by default. You choose if and with whom to share any individual spot.
Can I add notes about what bait worked or water conditions?
Yes. You can add a text note to any saved place from the iPhone app. The note is visible next to the location on your map.
Can I share a spot with a fishing partner?
Yes. Pean lets you share individual spots with specific people you trust. You control what gets shared.
